I design visually attractive web sites tailored to the specific needs of each business. Content is tailored to target markets and search engine optimised in order to gain good visibility with Internet search engines.
The majority of my clients have one thing in common - the web site I produce is their first foray into the world of Internet marketing or they've experienced problems with a previous supplier, either because when it comes to changing or updating the web site, they can't trace the person as they've ceased trading or fled the country!
One of the commonest myths surrounding web sites is that you have to have a computer. Wrong! I have clients who don't have computers, yet generate the majority of their business from their web site. To handle online or email enquiries I provide a service utilising an online enquiry form which is sent to a unique in box, which I then fax to the client. Sometimes old technology works better for some clients.
Google Analytics is used to monitor traffic to every web site and note unique visits to particular pages. I can also see where visitors find a particular web site and the search terms used. This is very important when designing content that can be found by search engines.
Here are a selection of web sites I worked on recently.

A Brighton based fruit & veg supplier. This is their first web site aimed at the catering and restaurant trades. The fresh look and feel of this web site reflects the company ethos of quality and freshness from start to finish.
Tastables have a broad client base including many top establishments throughout Sussex, recently adding Aldo Zilli's Brighton restaurant Zilli & the 80-bedroom boutique hotel myhotel to their portfolio.

Based in Burgess Hill, Art D'Sign provide a wide variety of signs to businesses throughout the UK. This project started to generate Internet enquiries from early on due to the thought and client discussions in planning the navigation and search engine optimisation.
In this web site I made use of both still and video images and sophisticated slide shows to show off the plethora of images.
Video testimonials have been used to great effect as they are genuine unrehearsed client comments.

This is a great example of finding the right domain name "flooringfitter.co.uk". This domain name describes exactly what Francis Flooring does. This was a design exercise in the broadest sense. The business didn't have an identity so one had to be created. The new logo works in colour, black & white, and reversed. It can be used on printed stationery, clothing, vehicles and most important the web site. It is adaptable and instantly recognisable.
At this stage of the project we opted to use visual material supplied by flooring manufacturers in order to keep costs down. In the future we intend to add more images of the work done by Francis Flooring to show the very high standard of workmanship and design quality.
If you see a domain that suits your business buy it without hesitation! I recently recommended to a client that they a buy a domain name that described their business in two words - not the cumbersome, unmemorable domain name they currently use. By the time they went to buy it, it was gone.

This web site is incredibly successful, not only in terms of unique visits to the web site but in terms of business generated.
There are various ways in which I can monitor with the aid of Google Analytics the success of ridinginsussex.co.uk. Specifically, the number of people that download the new riders form and the number of visitors looking at the "where to find us" page.

A family run business close to the Bluebell
Railway in Sussex. I had to recover their web site content as the guy who originally designed the web site did it as a side line with a copy of FrontPage. The original web site was uploaded to create a presence until I had decided with the client what was required of their web site.
Once the current web site was uploaded, the increase in unique visitors to the web site increase dramatically, almost overnight as a result of improved content and SEO. Again, this is a web site where we can monitor the success in terms of pages visited. When I look at the web site statistics, I can see patterns forming between the search terms used to reach the web site, particular pages and visitor numbers to specific pages. We can safelly assume that in the majority of cases, someone looking at the "where to find us" page could become a customer, especially later in the week and at weekends.

I've included this web site as it's an example of how complex compliant financial content can be presented effectively. Here you see the web site in the original form that I created in collaboration with Adam Guratsky, a friend and independent mortgage advisor.

One good turn deserves another. This was a "quickie" as favour for getting me out of a hole. Hilary & Peter provide a brilliant embroidery service (amongst other things) from their emporium in Portslade, near Brighton. Again a business without a web presence with a suitable domain name available.
