Canon EOS 5D MkII, 24 – 105 mm f4 IS L Series. Focal length 24mm colour temp. 4850K (daylight), RAW, -1 stop exposure compensation, tripod, remote release, ISO 200, f8, 1/6th sec Image cropped after adjustments to RAW in ACR

The above image was created on the 5th November at 16:42 hr (4:42 PM), sunset was 16:28 hr (4:28 PM). Personally, I prefer some detail in the sky, rather than total darkness. For an image like this the sky and forground can always be darkened during post-production.

Experience the special light before and after sunset. Low-light & Night Photography including Palace of Westminster & Big Ben, London Eye. The exterior lights on the Palace of Westminster come on around 15 minutes before sunset.

This is a great opportunity to get some special shots of London landmarks. You will need to take a tripod for the best low-light and night shots. For those of you willing to experiment, Ian and Ben will demonstrate some techniques to support your camera without the aid of our three-legged friend, along with exposure techniques to create a variety of special effects in camera.

Chimping Competiton & Finish: 17:00 hr approx. (5:00 PM)

Notes:
Park Cameras will provide a complimentary £10 gift voucher for all participants.

Chimping Competition:
If walk participants wish to participate, all they need to do is select what they consider to be their best shot of the day and display it on the screen of their digital camera. The walk leaders will then judge what they collectively consider to be the best shot and the winner will receive a Think Tank Photo Pixel Pocket Rocket media card storage wallet.

To Take Part:
Please contact Ian Pack by email if you intend participating, no later than 4 December 2009 as we will need to contact the authorities for clearance; we will be imaging in a secure area of London.
