Easy/Moderate

This all day Photo Walk meets at 10:00 AM at The George in Rye for tea or coffee & biscuits and an introductory chat by a local history expert on what to look for around the historic town. The morning will be spent exploring the ancient cobbled streets of this beautiful historic fishing port. We return to The George for a tasty buffet lunch.

After lunch we drive a short distance to the Romney Wind Farm which is situated close to Rye and Camber Sands. The wind farm consists of 26 turbines which make a spectacular sight on the flat lands of Romney Marsh. There are many photo-opportunities here as much of the area is accessed by public rights of way.

This is a day of multiple photo-opportunites and plenty of scope to learn new techniques, meet like minded photographers and make some stunning images.

The day willl normally close around 4:00 pm, but for those interested we can go on to Camber Sands* where we can create some stunning seascapes on the seven miles of sandy beach and sand dunes. For more information click here.

This will depend upon the season and tide state - during the summer due to heavy traffic, this may not be possible.
