Passport Photographs
UK passport photograph

Like it or not, when you apply for a UK Passport your photograph will be scanned and biometric data extracted & stored.

It is now even more critical that the photographs you submit with your passport application meet the UK Passport Service guidelines.

Rejection rates for passport photographs are increasing especially for DIY digital and photographs from public photo booths.

The position of the head in frame, the size it is reproduced and background colour are critical. Without the correct lighting, background and experience it is difficult to create an accurate photograph.

Since the new guidelines have been introduced I have not had any passport photographs rejected. Should a passport photograph I have taken be rejected, I will reshoot free of charge. One client recently called me after spending £40GBP in public photo booth without getting a satisfactory result!

Your passport photographs can be taken at your home, place of work or by appointment at my home studio. I also offer an on-site service for organisations and groups such as Age Concern, where with a minimum number of sitters, a group discount will apply.

I have experience of creating passport & visa photographs for United States, Canada and other non-EU countries where requirements differ from those in the UK.

Remember, when applying for your passport, leave plenty of time before your date of travel. If you are in a hurry, be sure to use a professional to create your passport photograph. There's no guarantee that your passport photograph will be rejected, but by using a qualified professional, the chances of rejection are decreased.
